Beyoncé is a global superstar, which pretty much guaranteed that the Houston diva would be immortalized throughout her career. While there are several other companies who’ve attempted to accurately clone the beauty — one of which is featured within this gallery — Madame Tussauds is best known for its wax figures of celebrities, public, and historical figures, crafting multiple figures to reside within their numerous locations scattered across the globe, including cities ranging from Hollywood, New York and Orlando to London, Delhi and Amsterdam.
The southern songstress was on hand when her first statue was revealed back in 2004, and while the singer appreciated what went into making the figure, her fans weren’t as gracious. Looking at the figure now, one can see why, as it barely resembles the star. Many figures to follow were also just a bit off, with a running joke developing over the years that Bey often resembles other stars — from Leah Remini and Lindsay Lohan to sister Solange — rather than herself.
There was a shift in the tide, however, in the mid 2010s, as several of these figures began to actually resemble the “Cuff It” star, and while the latest figure modeled after her Cowboy Carter era has received mixed reviews, it’s leagues ahead of what fans have come to expect, which is a great thing.
